When the 1 is the IQ difference between you and your sibling.
According to research by the American Enterprise Institute, "By age 35, every IQ point you're lording over your sibling earns you $810 more each year."
"Na na na na naa na. Not only am I smarter than you, but I am also going to make more money than you!"
Really? Do you really want to rub it in? It may come back to haunt you when your sibling gets dates and you can't.

So what happens if you only have a step sister. Was there more time focused on the one sibling than the other? I would love to see all the factors involved in this study.

The IQ could possible make the difference in my opinion of having a better job/profession but in my mind its the attitude and performance that the individual needs to make them successful.

It really makes me wonder what my IQ is. On second thought maybe its better if I don't know. I'll just stay in school and act smart and hope my sister never sees this blog!

I'm skeptical about this statement. I'm looking for factors that proves this study and I want to know what affects IQ between siblings, but I think one of the reasons why this is possible is because of normal sibling rivalry. The drive for siblings to be better than the other one.

ReplyDeleteIm not sure Id want to date the kind people my sibling dates. I don't know my sister's IQ but the kind of men she brings home Im betting Its pretty low. However, if my IQ was more than my sister's I think I would have to rub it in because of how mean my sister was to me.
One sibling is gloating over the fact that his IQ is 1 point higher then the other sibling.
ReplyDeleteIt may come back to blow up in his or her face, especially if he can not get a date.
But then again intelligence isn't everything.

Does having a twin make a differnce or is it just the same? Or how about having a half brother or sister?

My sisters refuse to take an IQ test and I always wondered why. This blog you wrote shows me why they are refusing. I hope one day they do further studies on this matter, as far as the dates go, I wouldn't date the men my sisters would.
